Zoriana Bindas's Patriot Cats is about four cats living through the war in their own ways. Monroe goes from house cat to defender of the home. Good, a veteran tomcat, leads a company of animals against the invaders. Marie, rescued from Mariupol, finds new friends and starts a business of her own. And the kitten Perchyk dreams of mending his broken purr.
